Nature Play and the Value of the Outdoors
Outdoor play is more than just running, jumping and riding bikes. Outdoor play has benefits of children connecting with nature as the natural environment plays a part in stimulating the child’s senses and develops creativity, problem solving and physical development. Nature is not just looking at trees and plants it is the opportunity to explore different environments in their everyday play by watching trees grow, watering gardens, playing with sand, rocks, leaves and twigs.
