Music and Movement

Music is an important component in Early Childhood development. Clapping, dancing, tapping helps a child to develop gross motor skills. Children can from an early age express themselves through music. Babies like to rock and bounce where older children like to sing, make up their own songs and like to dance to music. Music develops language skills in children repeating different words and rhythms. Various props can also be used including finger puppets, dress up clothes and home made instruments.
